[ACCOLADES] - Featured in Apple's staff favorites! - Reviewed in Computer Music magazine and received a 9/10! [DESCRIPTION] Jasuto is the worlds first (and most powerful) modular synthesizer for the iDevices. Jasuto allows you to visually construct your own synths/effects, and use them to make sequences all on your device! With the addition of a fully-featured sampler you can now record/resample/edit, and even create entirely new samples by drawing right in the app. Jasuto uses the relative position of nodes and their connections to control the sound. So the scene not only represents the synthesis structure, but also a custom multi-touch control surface. Motion can be recorded per node giving you rich, flexible automation. Connections can be created automatically by simply dragging nodes around, or manually. Each wire can be double-tapped to allow even more control of each connection. Jasuto comes installed with 75+ modules as well as 200+ pre-loaded scenes and samples. Each of the modules have been hand-optimized for your device's CPU, allowing you to create extremely complex scenes. [NOTABLE FEATURES] - Anti-aliased oscillators with hard-sync, FM, PWM, PM - Analog style filters (ap, lp, hp, bp, ladder emulation) - Signal control (compressor, limiter, gate, follower) - Zoomable sampler editor with several loop modes (normal, 1 shot, ping, granular) - ADSR envelope editor - Multipage/octave sequencer - Tape style analog delay - Reverb, phaser, several waveshapers - Resample/record the current playback - Audio copy via the pasteboard - Incoming OSC and MIDI for notes and CC's - Audiobus support (input, effect & output source) - Completely compatible with iOS7 - Updated UI graphics - Universal device and Retina support - A shiny new manual - Added background audio support - Low latency audio (256 samples) - Sample sharing through SoundCloud - Dropbox syncing of samples/scenes - High Fidelity (Hi-Fi) Audio [WEBSITE] http://www.jasuto.com

The MF-105S MuRF is a re-invention of Moog Music’s classic Moogerfooger MF-105 analog effects pedal. The MF-105 MuRF (Multiple Resonant Filter Array), originally introduced in 2004, contained two basic functions: an 8-band array of resonant filters that can be voiced for bass or mid frequency response, and a pre-programmed ANIMATION module that generates sequences of envelopes that modulate the levels of the 8 filters. Designed by Bob Moog and his engineering team, the MF-105 was a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers, adapted to process, modulate, and play with inputs ranging from guitar, voice, and synthesizer to any imaginable audio source. The MF-105 MuRF has been meticulously recreated as the MF-105S, capturing not only the distinctive sound of the original, but also the organic way in which the parameters interact to create a musical playing experience. The MF-105S is an AUv3 effects plug-in that requires a compatible host or DAW to function.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Jasuto at $4.99 against MF's $14.99. Jasuto also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). MF's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Jasuto costs $4.99 and MF $14.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
MF holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 38 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Jasuto's written reviews are positive against 67% of MF's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Jasuto ships an update every 3 months, MF monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
