Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: i.Hearts at Free against Hearts Plus's $2.99. i.Hearts also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Hearts Plus's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Hearts Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearts Plus has 413 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Hearts Plus's written reviews are positive against 100% of i.Hearts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Hearts Plus ships an update every 4 months, i.Hearts every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
