City map functions included in this app are: street name and business (restaurants, cafes, etc.), search, location bookmarking, `Findme` (iPhone and iPad 3/4G model), movement tracking (iPhone and iPad 3/4G model), and more. You can track your steps, take photos along the way, and then share your tracks and photos with friends. All the navigation features related to the city walks are disabled in this Lite version, which means that you can view the walk details (sight descriptions and photos), but NO navigation assistance is provided to guide you from one sight to the next. Download the Lite version if you want to use the city map or learn about the city walks. However, if you want to join the walks, it is highly recommended that you download a Full Version of this app. The Full Version includes detailed walk route maps to guide you from one sight to the next. The GUIDE@HAND Walks are created to help you see new places, objects and patterns and discover the past and present of cities with a fresh perspective. All Walks take 2, 3 or 4 hours, so you get to know everything in an easy, fun and adventurous way. Our Guided City Walks are designed in a way that you can simply use your mobile device as an Audio Guide. Just put it in your pocket, and it will help your discovery by navigating you from one point of interest to the next and you will be presented all information and stories at the right time. With GUIDE@HAND you can always determine your location, see where you are on the map. You can also view pictures/images of the sights or read what you have heard previously. You can take a break from your walk any time and resume sightseeing later. EXPLORE WITH OFFLINE MAP You can also discover the city’s points of interest on your own, using the “Explore” function and our offline city map. Whenever you approach a point of interest your device will automatically provide you with basic relevant information. You can then choose to listen to additional, related stories. What to gain by getting GUIDE@HAND? INSTALL: By installing GUIDE@HAND, you already have access to our offline city map. Your current location will be indicated on the map and you can easily browse various services (POIs) available in the city. You can set the default language here. DOWNLOAD A WALK: By downloading one or more of our city walks from the "Walks" tab, you will enrich your map with many new sightseeing information, points of interest, pictures and descriptions. All this new information will be available in your „Explore“ tab so that you can visit, read or browse them any time. PURCHASE A WALK: If you decide to buy a Walk, your device turns into an Audio Guide: not only can you read all the information available on each point of interest but you will also be able to listen to it all and follow guided walks with audio navigation that take you from one sight the next. TASTER WALK - The Inner City Walk (2 hours/3 km): This Walk guides you through the most visited, intriguing part of downtown Budapest. It is designed to take you through the places that offer just that: a lively atmosphere, where cafes and terraces meet architectural grandeur, romantic details and interesting stories. Starting from central Deák square, this walk takes you along Andrássy út, one of Europe’s most beautiful avenues. You will see the Opera House, walk by the imposing St. Stephen’s Basilica and then on to Chain Bridge, where, beneath the stone lions, a magnificent view opens up revealing the majestic river Danube. The Walk delivers you back to the heart of the city: Vörösmarty square and Váci utca. ATTENTION: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
