Ximo is a dating app built with the needs of gay men in mind. XImo lets you find and connect with people nearby who are interested in chatting, meeting up, making friends, finding their next great match, or more. We created a new trust-based mechanism for communication and sharing information, and designed Ximo so that everyone has fair and equal access to information on the app. Because of our high standards for profile-verification, you can feel safe and certain that people you meet on Ximo have valid profiles with real names and identities. In exchange for our policy of total information transparency, we give users full control over how their profile appears to others. How Can I Control How My Profile Appears to Others on Ximo? • Everyone can choose between a Public Profile or a Private Profile. • Choose a Public Profile if you want to make your photo visible to everyone. • Choose a Private Profile if you only want to share your photo with specific people. Your Profile Picture will appear hidden to everyone else. How Does Information Fairness on Ximo Work? • You can ask a Private Profile to unlock their photo with the simple press of a button. • You can unlock your Private Profile to anyone with the simple press of a button too. • Your Private Photo is never shared with anyone else unless they agree to share their photo in exchange! How Does Profile Verification Work on Ximo? We thought carefully about balancing our users' needs for privacy and anonymity with the importance of building a trusted online community of real people. We require that everyone verify their first name with a third-party social platform. We do not access additional information about you such as your personal photos, who your friends are, or any other information.
Just your first name. That’s it! If you don’t have access to a social media account, you can sign up with a phone number (US only) to complete our verification process. To give you the privacy and freedom to control the anonymity of your profile, you can choose to unlink any social network from your Ximo profile once you verify your First Name. You can then manually add in your age and a photo to your profile, which you can choose to hide from anyone on Ximo. We know that people are looking for a safe and trustworthy way to date and meet others online, and that's why we built Ximo with these privacy and security standards in mind. So download Ximo today to discover your next great match, and to learn more about how we are setting standards for privacy and security in the online dating space. Ximo is mad-fun too!
