Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Fraction Help at none against Calculator +'s shown. Fraction Help also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.4). Calculator +'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 208). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Calculator + sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Fraction Help sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Calculator + holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator + has 10K ratings behind it against 208, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Calculator +'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Fraction Help's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Calculator + ships an update every 5 days, Fraction Help every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
