Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: RealVNC Viewer at free against LiteManager's paid. RealVNC Viewer also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 36%) and ratings volume (15K vs 2). LiteManager's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
LiteManager holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RealVNC Viewer has 15K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of RealVNC Viewer's written reviews are positive against 36% of LiteManager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
RealVNC Viewer ships an update every 2 months, LiteManager every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
