Continue reading to learn more about this unique app! ----------------------- • Featured numerous times by Apple: - App Store Essentials: Camera & Photography - Photography for Professionals - Total Control - Extraordinary Photo Apps - Best New App ----------------------- "It’s one of those rare photography apps that creates effects that few others are capable of, and it does it easily and with better results." — Marty Yawnick, Life In LoFi ----------------------- How many times have you tried to capture artful images with your iPhone camera but were left wishing you had more features to work with? Slow Shutter Cam puts an end to mere snapshots and gives you some of the most powerful features of a DSLR camera. All this, in a package that fits in your pocket. Slow Shutter Cam offers three capture modes to capture unique images: MOTION BLUR: Equivalent to the shutter priority mode on a DSLR, the Motion Blur mode is perfect for creating ghost images, waterfall effects or suggesting movement in your photographs by adding a blur. LIGHT TRAIL: The Light Trail mode allows you to 'paint' with light, show car light trails and fireworks or capture any other moving light in a unique way. Unlike shooting with a DSLR and being tied to specific rigid settings to obtain good results, the Light Trail mode takes care of the essentials, letting your creativity soar! LOW LIGHT: In low light conditions, this capture mode allows the camera to accumulate every photon of light hitting the sensor. The longer the shutter speed, the more light it will accumulate. You can even fine-tune the result using the exposure compensation slider to achieve the exact effect you want! Highlights: • Unlimited Shutter Speed and manual ISO • Option to resume capture and create multiple exposure photos • Real time live preview - See the result in real time • Innovative 'Freeze' and ‘Blur Strength’ controls • Tap to adjust focus/exposure • Time-lapse Intervalometer • Apple Watch support and handy Self-Timer • Full resolution support on every devices • Camera Control support (iPhone 16) With Slow Shutter Cam on your iPhone you get the features of a DSLR camera with the convenience of a device that you can drop in your pocket and take with you wherever you go. Let's collect favorite pictures into the sphere! A sphere lens is processed into a style which looks at a photograph with a spherical lens. It makes the photograph that the glass ball has floated in the air, please try! The guide of a circle is displayed on the camera of a sphere lens. Let's take a photograph so that a part to emphasize may be settled into a circle! After photography or selection of a photograph becomes a preview screen which can change the size of sphere. Because it is a preview, a picture is displayed roughly a little, but a beautiful picture is saved at the time of preservation. Make a sphere into a favorite size with the button of + (Plus) and - (minus), and it is preservation with the button of a lower arrow. After preservation is made also as for contribution to a twitter as it is. (A twitter is restricted to iOS5 or more.) Wanna make more beautiful pictures ? If so, you should change the setting of "SphereLens" in a "setup" of iOS. Although saved in the size of a maximum of 1024x768 pixels, by high resolution, preservation can come to be performed and the photograph processed with the sphere lens can be saved more finely than usual, if a setup is changed. However, even when a setup is changed, size change is not performed in the picture below 1024x768 pixels. In order that processing of high resolution may consume a memory so much, it recommends ending the application which is operating in the background. Processing time is also borrowed in many from usual.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: SphereLens at Free against Slow Shutter Cam's $2.99. SphereLens also leads on iOS requirement (7.1 vs 16.0). SphereLens is free to download; Slow Shutter Cam costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Slow Shutter Cam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slow Shutter Cam has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Slow Shutter Cam's written reviews are positive against 75% of SphereLens's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Slow Shutter Cam ships an update every 2 weeks, SphereLens every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
