Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Medaxion at free against ABA Go's free with in-app purchases. Medaxion also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). ABA Go's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 9). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.3 for Medaxion against 2.2 for ABA Go. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ABA Go has 60 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 8% of Medaxion's written reviews are positive against 13% of ABA Go's.
Medaxion ships an update every 2 months, ABA Go monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
