KwikList is a powerful and flexible multi-purpose list application. It's your 'to do' list, it's your christmas list, it's notes, it's pictures from your trip, it's any list you need. If you like lists, you're gonna love your KwikList. * Select from one of the five available list templates -- to do, gifts, pictures, notes, or simple -- and then customize it to have the categories and fields that you need. * Built-in searching and sorting makes finding and managing items a snap, and WYSIWYG email and Air Print lets you send your lists and list items to whoever needs to see them. * Export your list as a .kwiklist file for backup and/or import into other devices. * Create items that repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly and create 'pop-up' reminders for to-do items as needed. * Listing without limits! You choose what fields to include for your list items -- text, note, image, date, time, number, money, Url, and boolean -- and then add or remove them on-the-fly. * Use iCloud storage to save your list in the cloud! Let iCloud automatically sync your items across all of your devices. * Use the included Home Screen widget to customize your device display and present a summary of your entered list information. All KwikList screens work in portrait and landscape mode on the iPad, presenting a simple and consistent user-experience.

Thanks to this application (and the other Widget apps from PacoLabs), you can now customize the Home screen and the Today view of your device, by adding custom widgets for some specific purposes. From anywhere in your device, you'll have access to your own information and actions. Each Calendar widget allows to view one or more calendars. Now you can quickly have an overview of the full month, view your busy days and even create or update some events. Those calendars can display the current or some specific months. The displayed months can be manually changed while viewing the widget. The look can be customized. The events from the system calendar application can be viewed and edited. It is also possible to add some new events. Those Widgets are compatible with the new iOS 14 Home Screen Widgets. The application is really easy to use and is adapted to the fresh look of your device. Dark mode of iOS13 is supported. In Today view: You can add as many widgets as you want and they will be displayed in up to 3 different lists. Those same lists will be available in the Today view and in the application (although it is possible, if you want, to hide some widgets in the Today view). To avoid overloading the Today view, when too many widgets are displayed, an intuitive control will allow you to navigate from one widget to another. Even if the main purpose of the app is to view the widgets in the Today view, it can also be very handy to view them directly in the application (a long press on a widget in the Today view will open it directly in the main application).

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: KwikList at 100% against Calendar Widget's 38%. KwikList also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.8). Calendar Widget's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

KwikList costs $0.99 and Calendar Widget $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
KwikList holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calendar Widget has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of KwikList's written reviews are positive against 38% of Calendar Widget's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
