Secure and simple alternative to VPN: WebConnect offers a new concept for remote working Home office and flexible working from a distance are now part of everyday life in companies. With a new concept, WebConnect ensures secure remote access to desktops and dialing into the company network - as a secure and simple alternative to VPN. To do this, WebConnect uses the browser to set up all connections directly between the client and remote device as a tunnel with https encryption. There are no third party servers or hubs along the way. The solution thus guarantees data protection and a high level of security when accessing the desktops remotely. The application scenarios of the solution are diverse: They range from home office and remote work to support and distance learning to virtual call centers as well as video and graphics workstations - in the cloud or on-premises. WebConnect: A new concept for working remotely This is where WebConnect comes in with a new concept for secure remote access to desktops and dialing into the company network. The solution is added to the network that should be reachable from the outside. This is done either via a WebConnect hardware box or in server networks only as software. The special feature: WebConnect establishes all connections directly between the client and remote device as a tunnel with https encryption. All this is done via the browser and without installation on the client. There are no third-party servers or nodes along the way, no device is directly accessible. With 2-factor authentication, the solution ensures data protection and high security when accessing the desktops remotely. Since WebConnect has no central customer and device management, all access data remain the sole property of the customer. The solution is therefore fully compliant with the GDPR. Mobile apps for remote access to networks with WebConnect installation WebConnect's mobile apps are the ideal supplement for working with a tablet or mobile phone. They are optimized for small screens. Automatic screen resize functions allow you to work in any orientation of the device Lots of useful features WebConnect is the ideal solution for freelancers and small and medium-sized companies. It offers a variety of settings that companies can use to individually refine their security requirements and role-rights concepts. Administrators are thus able to assign appropriate access rights or time restrictions to individual users, user groups and connection profiles on the same device and to adjust them at any time.
