Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) at 4.6 against HYPNOSISMIC's 4.0. Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (527 vs 4). HYPNOSISMIC's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and HYPNOSISMIC sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) has 527 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting)'s written reviews are positive against 63% of HYPNOSISMIC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Twitcast Viewer (TwitCasting) ships an update every 10 days, HYPNOSISMIC every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
