Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Tunnel at 3.1 against vWork's 1.8. Tunnel also leads on ratings volume (77 vs 5). vWork's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (40% vs 14%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Tunnel holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tunnel has 77 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of vWork's written reviews are positive against 14% of Tunnel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

vWork ships an update every 10 days, Tunnel every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
