ichGlaub is a Anabaptist collection of historical and theological Christian books used by Christians throughout USA and Canada. Most of the books were originally written in German and later translated into English. One example is Riedemann's Confession of faith which was written in prison during 1540-42 for the Lutheran ruler, Philip of Hesse. He explains his goal of a renewed community and dispels popular misconceptions. His dynamic vision of radical and communal discipleship still challenges believers toward a greater faithfulness to the Lord and to each other. Riedemann creatively weaves together a fresh reading of the Bible with the classical creeds. He produces a powerful synthesis of Scripture and tradition on which to base Christian community. His dynamic vision of radical and communal discipleship still challenges believers toward greater faithfulness to the Lord and to each other. Riedemann's Confession gives theological grounding for the Hutterite understanding of economic communalism and offers practical examples. It still guides Hutterite communities. Also included in both German and English are the Chronicles of the Hutterian Brethren, which documents Hutterite life in Austria and Moravia from 1528 to 1665 and provides a wealth of economic, social and cultural detail from the standpoint of an oppressed and severely persecuted minority. This is just the beginning of what ichGlaub has to offer. Books like Hutterite Co's in WWI, Stories of the Hutterites, Over the Mountains, Hutterite Epistles, and Hutterische Artikelbuch, are bound to keep you reading through many a cold winter evening.

The app contains the text and audio of the Bible in the Hutterite language (Hutterisch). At this time only the NT is available and corrections to the audio will be added in future updates. “Hutterisch” is a minority language spoken by Hutterites in the prairie states of Canada and the US. The Hutterites share a common history with other anabaptist groups, such as the Mennonites and the Amish. They fled to America due to severe and gruesome persecution during and after the reformation, which lead to the death of many. Today the Hutterites live communally in over 500 colonies. They practice shared ownership of goods and generally operate large farming operations, often combined with some kind of manufacturing business.
