Attenuator vs Motor Power Calculator
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
Attenuator
Calculate output voltage, power, and attenuation based on input values and dB of attenuation. Features NMR-specific calculations for pulses and measures local magnetic fields and barometric pressure.
- Calculate output voltage and power
- Specify input voltage (Vpp or Vrms)
- Calculate attenuation in dB
- NMR pulse calculations
- Measure local magnetic field
- Display barometric pressure

Attenuator is a utility for anyone working with radio frequency sources and needs to know power and voltage after attenuation. You can specify an input voltage (Vpp or Vrms) and dB of attenuation to get the output voltage, power and attenuation. The impedance can be specified, typically 50Ω for most systems. There is a new emphasis on NMR utility, with options for calculating pulses based on reference power and pulse length. Powers are in Watts, dBm, and dB values. Measure local magnetic field to check stray static fields from magnets. See the local barometric pressure, useful if the magnet boil-off is high
Motor Power Calculator
Read full descriptionHide full description
The Motor Power Calculator application calculates the motor power by inputting the motor speed and the force generated by the motor. The power of the motor is calculated in seven units such as watt [W] and horsepower [PS], [HP]. Switch the two modes of the rotational motor and the linear motor at the top of the application screen. In ""ROTATIONAL MOTOR"" mode, input rotational speed and torque, and ""LINEAR MOTOR"" mode input speed and thrust(force).Units supported by this application are as follows. [Power] 7 kinds of [W], [PS], [HP], [kgf · m/s], [kcal/h], [Btu/h], [ft · lbf/s] - Rotational motor - [Rotational speed] 4 kinds of [rpm], [rps], [deg/s], [rad/s] [Torque] 9 kinds of [N · m], [cN · m], [mN · m], [kgf · m], [kgf · cm], [gf · cm], [lbf · ft], [lbf · in], [ozf · in] - Linear motor - [Speed] 2 types of [m/s] and [mm/s] [Thrust] 8 kinds of [N], [kN], [dyn], [kgf], [gf], [tf], [lbf], [pdl]

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Attenuator at Free against Motor Power Calculator's $0.99. Attenuator also leads on update cadence (every 7 months vs every 45 months). Motor Power Calculator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On ads there is nothing between them.
