Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: RedirectWeb at 93% against iCTides's 44%. RedirectWeb also leads on price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). iCTides's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
RedirectWeb is free to download; iCTides costs $0.99 up front. RedirectWeb sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. iCTides asks for nothing beyond the download.
iCTides holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RedirectWeb has 74 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of iCTides's written reviews are positive against 93% of RedirectWeb's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iCTides ships an update every 7 months, RedirectWeb fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
