Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: ImageCopy at 5.0 against Remoter VNC's 4.2. ImageCopy also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Remoter VNC's advantage is ratings volume (884 vs 1) and price ($0.99 vs $2.99). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Remoter VNC costs $0.99 and ImageCopy $2.99 up front. Remoter VNC sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and ImageCopy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

ImageCopy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remoter VNC has 884 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Remoter VNC's written reviews are positive against 60% of ImageCopy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Remoter VNC ships an update monthly, ImageCopy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
