Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Relatio at Free against Pocket Salsa's $9.99. Relatio also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 563). Pocket Salsa's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 53%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Relatio is free to download; Pocket Salsa costs $9.99 up front. Pocket Salsa sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Relatio sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Pocket Salsa holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Relatio has 12K ratings behind it against 563, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of Pocket Salsa's written reviews are positive against 53% of Relatio's.
Pocket Salsa ships an update every 4 weeks, Relatio fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
