Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: WH Questions Skills at 4.3 against MathTappers's 3.4. WH Questions Skills also leads on update cadence (every 10 months vs every 61 months). MathTappers's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (118 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WH Questions Skills sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. MathTappers asks for nothing beyond the download.
WH Questions Skills holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MathTappers has 118 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of MathTappers's written reviews are positive against 67% of WH Questions Skills's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MathTappers ships an update every 61 months, WH Questions Skills every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
