Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mini LAB at 100% against My Blood Test's 33%. Mini LAB also leads on price (Free vs $2.99) and ratings volume (63 vs 1). My Blood Test's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 24 months). On in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Mini LAB is free to download; My Blood Test costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
My Blood Test holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mini LAB has 63 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of My Blood Test's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mini LAB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
My Blood Test ships an update every 4 months, Mini LAB every 24 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
