The 60:60 App is designed as a resource to accompany the Soul Revolution book and the sixty-day experiment in faith. Soul Revolution challenges you to do a very simple 60-day experiment going all-out in a radically responsive relationship with God. Jesus likened it to the relationship between a branch and a tree. A branch doesn’t have to do anything at all to produce fruit except stay connected. In the same way he said, “You stay connected to me, you’ll bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 paraphrase). The only problem is that most people grow up in the habit of ignoring God most of the day, so we need help to form a new habit. The verse notifications remind us every 60 minutes for 60 days to stay connected. With over 200 scripture verses to remind us throughout the hours of the day of God’s loving presence, we become aware of his promises to guide and do life with us moment by moment as we remain connected. With every reminder, we pause to evaluate how connected and responsive we’ve stayed the last hour, stop to experience his loving presence in the moment, and reorient to improve our connection with him in the next hour.
