Open it on the first tee and start scoring. No account, no sign-up, no signal needed. One tap per score, and the card fills itself in. Lazy Guy's has been keeping score since 2012. This is the largest update it has ever had. ONE TAP PER SCORE Tap a number and the highlighted box fills in. The highlight moves on to the next player by itself, and after the last player it moves to the next hole. Par works the same way, so you tap each hole's par as you reach the tee. No menus, no confirming, no scrolling. NOTHING TO SET UP No account. No sign-in. No subscription for the app itself. No GPS running down your battery for four hours. Your card is saved on the iPhone when you leave the app, so a phone call in the middle of a round does not cost you the score, and none of it needs a signal, which is the state of most golf courses. APPLE WATCH • Every player and this hole's score on your wrist, entered with two taps • The Digital Crown moves between holes • Whoever is up in the bet, without taking the phone out of the bag • Out of range, entries queue and land when the phone is back • Included, not behind the purchase WHAT'S ON THE CARD • 18 holes for up to 6 players, four holes on screen at a time • Par for every hole, one tap each • A totals column you switch with the Tot button: Out, In, Tot, and score to par • Scores colored against par, so a birdie reads as a birdie at arm's length • Swipe between holes, or tap any box to change it • Undo Last, for the entry you did not mean • Handicap strokes for each player, allocated by the hole's stroke index • Nine holes or eighteen: stop at the turn and the totals, the e-mail and the stats all read it as a nine FASTER THAN TYPING IT IN • Photograph a course's paper scorecard and the app reads the par for each hole off it • Names you have used before are offered as you type them • Sunset times worked out where you are, so you know how many holes are left in the light AFTER THE ROUND • E-mail the card as a front nine and back nine table, with an optional CSV file for a spreadsheet • Share the result through the iPhone share sheet • Three ways to reset: everything, scores only, or scores and par, so the names and the course stay put for next week PRO One payment. No subscription. No account. • A course library: save every course you play and never type its par again • Your rounds kept, and the stats that come out of them • Side games: skins, nassau, match play and stableford, gross or net, and four-ball pairs • Up to six players on the card • Six card styles, including two built for playing in low light Without Pro: one saved course, your last three rounds, and one round of side games. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard at 4.6 against iTrackGolf's 3.3. Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard also leads on ratings volume (124 vs 4) and device support (3 vs 1). iTrackGolf's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard has 124 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iTrackGolf's written reviews are positive against 88% of Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iTrackGolf ships an update every 4 weeks, Lazy Guy's Golf Scorecard every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
