Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: AdvenTV at 4.8 against Hope Channel's 4.3. AdvenTV also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 59%) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 210). Hope Channel's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
AdvenTV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AdvenTV has 2.5K ratings behind it against 210, so its average is the more settled of the two. Hope Channel ships an update every 5 weeks, AdvenTV every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
