Charades, with the phone on your forehead. Tilt is a party game built on one gesture. Hold the phone to your forehead so everyone else can see the word. They shout clues. You tilt the phone down for "got it" or back up for "pass". That is the whole control scheme, and it takes about four seconds to teach someone. EVERY PACK, UNLOCKED FROM THE START 62 packs. Over 2,900 words. Nothing sitting behind a coin balance, a category unlock or a subscription. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL Everything is on the device. No wifi, no data. It works on a train, in a tent, and in a kitchen where nobody has bars. FOR HOWEVER MANY OF YOU Quick Play starts in three taps. Match mode runs teams, scores, rotation and a winner. You can also play with people somewhere else from the same room. THE ONLY PAID THING If you want a pack on a theme that is not here, you can generate one with AI for a dollar. That is the only thing in the app that costs money, and only if you want it. No ads. No subscription. No coins. Made by an independent studio. No ads, no subscription, no tricks.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Tilt at 5.0 against iClac's 2.9. Tilt also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 177 months). iClac's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Tilt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iClac has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
iClac ships an update every 177 months, Tilt fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
