Scripture Citation Index vs Scripture Chase Verse Finder

The Scripture Citation Index is the mobile version of scriptures.byu.edu. This app lets you navigate easily between the scriptures (standard works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: The Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon, etc.) and the General Conference talks and other writings that cite those scriptures. For example, you can see who has cited 1 Timothy 4:12 or Daniel 2:44 in General Conference (1942-present), in the Journal of Discourses, or in Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Our users tell us that this app is very helpful for scripture study and lesson/talk preparation.

You might not be in an actual scripture chase competition, but you still want to find that verse—fast! Just type a few letters and numbers, like “ne37”, and jump to your verse, like “1 Nephi 3:7.” Whether you’re in Sunday school, a meeting, or personal study, Scripture Chase can get you to the right chapter or verse faster than other apps. • Instant search results as you type • Lightweight, distraction-free design • No ads, no in-app purchases, and free forever Type the first few letters of the book followed by the chapter and verse numbers. No spaces or punctuation needed! • lu2 → Luke 2 • ne37 → 1 Nephi 3:7 • doc76119 → D&C 76:119 (Results are automatically filtered to valid chapter and verse combinations—this will not suggest a nonexistent D&C 7:6119) • Tap the enter/search button on the keyboard to quickly open the first result. For even more speed, disable the navigation animations. Scripture Chase Verse Finder includes a public domain version of the standard works (Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price) that are used by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Only English is supported. This app is not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
