This app converts a date between Julian Day of Year and Gregorian. For example, September 11, 2022 converts to 2022-254 and 2022-254 converts to September 11, 2022. This app will convert both directions. Julian Date for this app refers to the day-of-year number (more properly, the ordinal date) in the Gregorian calendar, often used in mainframe computer systems, the military, and the food industry. (Note: this app does not used the term Julian Date to refer to the astronomy definition which is calculated from 4713 BC) Features a simple clean interface with pickers for the dates. The app also features a monthly view allowing a quick view of both Gregorian and Julian days for the entire month. Widgets are available for both the Home Screen and the Lock Screen to display the current day of year. A Watch app is available that includes a date converter and complications to display the current day of year. Note: The app's icon does not change to reflect the current day. About

Wind Calculator

The Wind Calculator app is your essential tool for calculating crosswind, tailwind, and headwind components. It is user-friendly and designed for quick checks of wind conditions against limits - perfect for in-flight use. To use the app, simply set your limits, input the current wind conditions, and specify the runway heading. The app will display the wind components and warn you if your limits are exceeded. You can enter wind data and runway heading by typing in the input boxes or by dragging the wind arrow and runway heading compass. It will also show you the maximum wind speed that stays within your specified limits, along with the wind direction, so you won't have to guess how much wind you can accept. You can save different limit values for each Runway Condition Code (RCC) and easily switch between RCCs using the dedicated buttons. Edit your settings to display a simplified limits section if you do not need to use RCC-based limits. Finally, you can quickly change the wind speed units using the respective toggle switches. The app automatically follows your device's theme, but you can manually switch to dark mode to protect your night vision when necessary. Experiencing problems with the app?
