iLQ vs LQCalc
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
iLQ
This medical app calculates radiotherapy dose equivalents using the linear-quadratic model. It allows users to select specific organs at risk or define their own alpha/beta ratios for research purposes.
- Linear-quadratic model calculation
- Organ at risk selection
- Custom alpha/beta ratio input
- Research use only

iLQ is a radiotherapy dose-equivalence calculator based on the linear-quadratic (LQ) model, designed by radiation oncologists. DESIGNED FOR iPhone Duo Unfolded, iLQ uses both sides of the fold: inputs on one side, the result on the other, always in view. In Information, the list stays on one side and the text opens on the other. TWO CALCULATORS • Equivalent dose: converts a total dose delivered with one dose per fraction into the equivalent total dose for a new dose per fraction. • EQD2: equivalent dose in 2 Gy fractions. FEATURES • 17 organs at risk with their α/β ratio and dose constraint, or any α/β ratio from 0.5 to 20 Gy • Results update as you type • Warnings when the dose per fraction is outside the model's range (1–6 Gy) or when the organ's dose constraint is exceeded • Formulas, LQ model background and conditions of use included • Also runs on Mac with Apple silicon • Works offline, no account, no data collected iLQ is intended for research purposes only. It must not be used to adapt or modify patient treatment.

LQ model (LinearQuadraticModel)に基づき、放射線治療線量の換算計算を行います。HyperFractionation、再照射線量にも対応しています。 1回線量(Gy)、分割回数(Fr)、α/β値から BED(Biological Effective Dose; 生物学的等価線量) = nd(1 + d/[α/β]) EqD2(Gy等価線量換算値) = 1 回線量 2 Gy換算のnormalized total dose を計算します。 Fowler J. Verdict
The clearest difference is price: iLQ at Free against LQCalc's $0.99. LQCalc's advantage is update cadence (every 10 months vs every 48 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
