Both are free to download. Noteday sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Date Recorder asks for nothing beyond the download.
Noteday holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noteday has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Date Recorder's written reviews are positive against 0% of Noteday's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Date Recorder ships an update every 24 months, Noteday fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
