Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Texts From Jesus at free with in-app purchases against Christ is King's subscription. Texts From Jesus also leads on ratings volume (6.2K vs 122) and review sentiment (88% vs 70%). Christ is King's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
