Random Mahjong is a relaxed, classic Solitaire Mahjong game for iPhone and iPad. It has been played by tile matchers for years, and it still does exactly what it set out to do — no timers, no pressure, no fuss. Photo-realistic 2D tiles that look sharp rather than stale. There's no fancy 3D here; you get a classic 2D board with smooth camera panning and focus, so you're always up close to the play. Controls stay a joy rather than a chore, on both iPhone and iPad. At its heart is a random Mahjong generator, so a fresh, solvable board is waiting every time you play. Prefer something familiar? Fifty preset layouts are included. And the small 32-tile boards, paired with a solution walkthrough for every layout, make this a good place to learn the rules if you've never played the Solitaire or Shanghai variant of Mah-jongg before. FEATURES: - A unique board every time you play - 50 preset layouts when you want something familiar - Very simple to learn - Small 32-tile boards, ideal for beginners - Relaxing play with no time limits - Solution walkthrough available for every board - Level rewind for repeat attempts - Undo and shuffle - Auto-save and auto-continue - That "one more try" feeling Random Mahjong is now developed and supported by ElectroSoma Ltd. We will be keeping the game refreshed and maintained, as well as working on a sequel.

Three mahjong traditions, each with its own rules engine and its own real scorer: Hong Kong Old Style, Chinese Official (MCR), and American with jokers and the Charleston. Four players, a full wall, and a score at the end you can check line by line. This is not mahjong solitaire. It's the four-player game. THREE COMPLETE RULE SYSTEMS • Hong Kong Old Style — 144 tiles, chow/pung/kong claims, faan scoring with the half-spicy payment table, sacred discard, kong robbing. Set the minimum at any hand, 1 faan, or the classic 3. • Chinese Official (MCR) — the full 81-fan competition table with the 8-point minimum, seven pairs, knitted straights, honors-and-knitted hands. • American — 152 tiles with eight jokers, the Charleston with blind passes, the courtesy pass across, exposures, joker exchanges, and a browsable card of 56 hand patterns. SCORING YOU CAN AUDIT Every hand ends in a receipt naming each pattern that paid and what it paid. Hong Kong and Chinese Official each carry a searchable card of every pattern the scorer can award, generated from the rules your table is actually using — so the limit hand prints your limit, and seven pairs appears only if you switched it on. A COACH, NOT A HINT BUTTON American's Recommended Hands ranks the card against your rack and the table. A hand whose last tiles are already in the discard pile ranks below one that's still alive; a joker can't fill a pair; a concealed hand can't be claimed into. Each suggestion shows how far off you are and what you're still short of. OPPONENTS THAT DON'T CHEAT Six bots across three difficulties, each with a temperament — call aggression, defensive discipline, hand ambition. Harder bots weigh more; none of them see more. Every decision is made from public information only: melds, discards, wall depth. Seat one, two, or three of them. PLAYABLE BY EAR Every tile says its name wherever it's drawn — rack, river, meld, receipt. The discard board tells you how deep the hand has got and what just landed, your turn and the table's calls are announced as they happen, and the rack carries a Discard action, so a hand can be played end to end with VoiceOver. Text follows your iOS text size all the way through the accessibility sizes. YOUR RECORD Hand win rate, self-draws, deal-in rate, net points, best hand, win streaks, favorite scoring patterns and a points-per-game chart — across all three traditions, drilling down from any game to any hand's receipt. Close the app mid-hand and it's waiting where you left it: same wall, same rack, same score. No ads, no accounts, no in-app purchases, and no network — it works on a plane.
