Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: EditPoint at Free against iGigBook Sheet Music Manager's $19.99. EditPoint also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 68%). iGigBook Sheet Music Manager's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

EditPoint is free to download; iGigBook Sheet Music Manager costs $19.99 up front. iGigBook Sheet Music Manager sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and EditPoint sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

iGigBook Sheet Music Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iGigBook Sheet Music Manager has 1.5K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of iGigBook Sheet Music Manager's written reviews are positive against 80% of EditPoint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iGigBook Sheet Music Manager ships an update monthly, EditPoint every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
