Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PrismScope Lite at none against tappr.tv's 5. PrismScope Lite also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 26.6). tappr.tv's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 15 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. tappr.tv sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. PrismScope Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.
tappr.tv holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: tappr.tv has 56 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of tappr.tv's written reviews are positive against 80% of PrismScope Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
tappr.tv ships an update every 3 months, PrismScope Lite every 15 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
