Practice your spelling by rolling a ball through a traditional 3D wooden labyrinth and capturing letters in the correct order to spell a word. Spin Spell is a physics based 3D mobile game that motivates children to learn to spell while having fun and improving their hand/eye coordination. Choose from a variety of pre-loaded spelling lists or add your own. Points and achievements are awarded based on the sequential collection of letters to correctly spell a word, the speed by which the letters are collected and the number of correct letters collected in a streak. Points are never subtracted from the score but bonus streaks are reset when an incorrect letter is hit and/or when the game timer expires. Features: • 25 pre-made levels • 30 pre-made spelling lists • Spelling list editor • Level editor • 3D physics fun • Adjustable roll speed for ball Spelling List Editor: Create, save, and play your own spelling lists. Use your child’s spelling lists from school and make studying fun! Level Editor: Edit existing levels or create your own mazes with our built-in level editor. If a maze is too difficult or if it is not challenging enough, change it in our level editor. Be creative and make artistic levels to enhance gameplay.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Ouros at 4.9 against Spin Spell's 4.6. Ouros also leads on ratings volume (82 vs 14) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Spin Spell's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%) and price ($0.99 vs $2.99). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Spin Spell costs $0.99 and Ouros $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Ouros holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ouros has 82 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Spin Spell's written reviews are positive against 90% of Ouros's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Spin Spell ships an update every 9 months, Ouros every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
