HenPitsu vs ShiKiShi

HenPitsu - a simple drawing app with the brush that changes its width by the speed you move your finger on the touchscreen. With this unique pen you can draw Japanese calligraphy and/or watercolor painting. Background picture can be selected from the photo library or taken by the camera. Picture can be saved or exported to other apps such as SNS. If you trace photo with your finger painting and remove the background layer afterwards, your painting will look like landscape painting of your own.

ShiKiShi transforms characters written with your finger into expressive works of calligraphy. Simply write your characters and generate an image. ShiKiShi randomly combines its original vector processing—which analyzes line width and shape—with image effects inspired by ink and brush movement. It creates up to seven different results at a time. You never know exactly what will appear. Instead of choosing a perfectly uniform typeface, enjoy the chance encounter with an unexpectedly compelling work of calligraphy. Key Features • Write characters freely with your finger • Generate up to seven different calligraphy works at once • Discover new combinations each time you generate • Always includes an unfiltered version among the results • Ink effects including bleeding, dry-brush texture, ink pooling, light ink, and ink particles • Bold structural transformations inspired by brush momentum, flowing energy, ink bursts, ensō circles, and dancing strokes • Change the paper texture and ink color • Set a favorite handwritten character as your personal seal • Save completed works inside the app • Share images using the iOS share menu Even when you write the same characters, the result may never be exactly the same. Turn a name, favorite saying, seasonal phrase, or message of celebration into a one-of-a-kind work. No login or account registration is required.
