Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Le PAL at 100% against Grand Écran's 54%. Le PAL also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Grand Écran's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Grand Écran holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Grand Écran's written reviews are positive against 100% of Le PAL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Grand Écran ships an update every 3 months, Le PAL every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
