Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Santa Tracker Official at 70% against Santa Tracker's 25%. Santa Tracker Official also leads on price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months). Santa Tracker's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Santa Tracker Official is free to download; Santa Tracker costs $0.99 up front. Santa Tracker Official sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Santa Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.
Santa Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Santa Tracker Official has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Santa Tracker's written reviews are positive against 70% of Santa Tracker Official's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Santa Tracker ships an update every 13 months, Santa Tracker Official every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
