Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Rope Slash at 4.6 against Bubble Ball's 3.9. Rope Slash also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 160). Bubble Ball's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (59% vs 29%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bubble Ball sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Rope Slash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Rope Slash holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rope Slash has 14K ratings behind it against 160, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Bubble Ball's written reviews are positive against 29% of Rope Slash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Bubble Ball ships an update every 2 months, Rope Slash every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
