In addition, showing a still image from Photo Albums is possible. Wireless transfer to AirPlay supported devices such as Apple TV is supported, as well as connections via various cables and adapters. The following adapters/cables are supported: - AirPlay supported devices - Apple TV (2nd generation and later) - USB Type-C Cable (video output supported) - Lightning to VGA Adapter - Lightning Digital AV Adapter (HDMI) - Apple VGA Adapter - Apple Digital AV Adapter (HDMI) - Apple Composite AV Cable - Apple Component AV Cable This application has the functions listed below. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: CameraVision at 3.9 against Carmine Viewer's 1.0. CameraVision also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 1) and price ($0.99 vs $3.99). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CameraVision costs $0.99 and Carmine Viewer $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

CameraVision holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CameraVision has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of CameraVision's written reviews are positive against 62% of Carmine Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

CameraVision ships an update every 10 months, Carmine Viewer every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
