Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Stupid Zombies at 102K against Into the Dead's 11K. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Stupid Zombies sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Into the Dead sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Stupid Zombies against 4.7 for Into the Dead. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stupid Zombies has 102K ratings behind it against 11K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Stupid Zombies's written reviews are positive against 90% of Into the Dead's.
Stupid Zombies ships an update every 2 months, Into the Dead every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
