Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: illiwap at 89% against L'Eveil's 45%. illiwap also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). L'Eveil's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. L'Eveil sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. illiwap asks for nothing beyond the download.
L'Eveil holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: illiwap has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of L'Eveil's written reviews are positive against 89% of illiwap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
L'Eveil ships an update fortnightly, illiwap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
