Vondel is a writing studio for people working on something long: a novel, a memoir, a non-fiction book. It gives you a focused place to write and the structure to finish. WRITE A focused, distraction-free editor in a readable column. Lightweight Markdown formatting, automatic saving, and clean typography built for long sessions, not a wall of toolbars. ORGANIZE Break your manuscript into folders, chapters, and scenes in a sidebar you can rearrange by dragging. Keep research, characters, and notes alongside your draft, and move a scene to another chapter in a single gesture. PLAN See any part of your project as editable index cards or as an outline with status, labels, and word counts. Write a one-line synopsis for every scene, color-code by point of view or storyline, and rearrange your plot visually. REVISE Capture snapshots of a document before big edits, then compare or roll back any time. Leave anchored comments on specific passages without touching your prose. TRACK Set a word target for your manuscript and a daily writing goal. Watch your streak, your pace, and your projected finish so you keep moving toward the end. OWN YOUR WORK Your writing is stored as plain text you control. No proprietary format, no lock-in. Optional cloud sync keeps every project on all your devices and safely backed up, so you can pick up your draft anywhere. From the first blank page to a finished manuscript, Vondel is built for your biggest works.
