Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Octodad at every 3 weeks against Tasty Planet's every 5 months. Octodad also leads on ratings volume (2.8K vs 104) and chart position (#60 vs #191). Tasty Planet's advantage is price ($3.99 vs $4.99) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
