Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Pattern Sets at 5.0 against Big Math Flash Cards's 4.2. Pattern Sets also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). Big Math Flash Cards's advantage is ratings volume (41K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
