Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Schooly at 74% against Student Timetable's 33%. Schooly also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 weeks) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Student Timetable's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Student Timetable sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Schooly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Student Timetable ships an update every 4 weeks, Schooly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
