Based on Hohner's iconic Corona Classic diatonic accordion, this intuitive virtual accordion app feature a super responsive, three-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional instrument and now plays in all five of the most popular tones: EAD (Mi), FBbEb (Fa), GCF (Sol), ADG, and BbEbAb. The Hohner SqueezeBox Pro app allows musicians to practice chord combinations, scales, and songs on-the-go. Practice in headphones, or plug into amplified speakers for live performance. Simply touch in the bellows area to toggle between bellows push and pull, then play on the buttons. Since you may want to play chords with more than 3 or 4 fingers, you'll need to turn off "Multitasking Gestures" in your iPad's Settings, under General/Multitasking Gestures. Touch the sliders icon at the upper right side of the screen to bring up the controls where you can select the tone (EAD, FBE, GCF, ADG, or BbEbAb), choose between M and MM reed sounds, and control the volume and reverb settings. Set the MIDI channel using the "MIDI Channel" slider. Touch the "?" to cycle through the note tab and note name label styles. Touch the "i" button to bring up the help screen. Touch the "Tabs" button at the top to bring up the list of song tabs. Touch the "T" button at the the top to show/hide the song tab display. All settings are saved when you exit the app and restored the next time you run it. This app is ideal for the beginning student or professional musician who needs a simple carry-on companion to compliment his or her actual accordion. While not meant to be a replacement for a real accordion, the app is a convenient and easy tool for practicing, learning, or teaching.

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Hohner SqueezeBox at $4.99 against KORG Module Pro's $19.99. Hohner SqueezeBox also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 20) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). KORG Module Pro's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 7). On review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Hohner SqueezeBox costs $4.99 and KORG Module Pro $19.99 up front. KORG Module Pro sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Hohner SqueezeBox asks for nothing beyond the download.
KORG Module Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KORG Module Pro has 1.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Hohner SqueezeBox's written reviews are positive against 64% of KORG Module Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
