Both are free to download. Real Kendang sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Double Kick Drum Kit asks for nothing beyond the download.
Real Kendang holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Double Kick Drum Kit has 21 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Double Kick Drum Kit's written reviews are positive against 25% of Real Kendang's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Double Kick Drum Kit ships an update every 6 months, Real Kendang every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
