Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dunya News at 59% against SPSC's 0%. Dunya News also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 3). SPSC's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 2.8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SPSC holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dunya News has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Dunya News's written reviews are positive against 0% of SPSC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Dunya News ships an update every 5 weeks, SPSC every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
