About

Selah

You already scroll for hours. What if that same reflex brought you into Scripture? Selah is a sacred pause — the Bible, one verse per swipe, the whole canon in a beautiful full-screen feed, designed with the same care as the apps you can't put down, but pointed somewhere worth going. The name comes from the Psalms: selah, a mark in the margin telling the reader to stop and breathe. READ THE WHOLE BIBLE, ONE VERSE AT A TIME Swipe up. Swipe up again. All 66 books, more than 31,000 verses, in a smooth vertical feed set in elegant serif type on warm vellum (with a lamplit dark mode). Chapter openings orient you with a short introduction to every book. Your place is always remembered. TWO COMPLETE TRANSLATIONS, FULLY OFFLINE The World English Bible and the King James Version are bundled in full. No internet needed, ever — on a plane, in a basement, on a quiet morning. Switch translations with one tap without losing your place. REAL STUDY, BUILT IN Tap any verse for a deep study. Curated verses include: • Biblical meaning — what the verse actually says, in plain language • Historical context — who wrote it, to whom, and why • Original language — the Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic word behind the English, with transliteration • Did you know — the detail you'll tell someone about • Cross-references — tap through to connected passages • Apply it — one concrete way to live the verse today Every other verse still gets honest context: the surrounding passage and the book's introduction. SEARCH ANYTHING Search any word or phrase across the entire Bible in an instant, or dial straight to any chapter and verse. READING PLANS THAT FIT REAL LIFE Start With John. A Proverb a Day. Psalms of Comfort. The Story of Jesus. One chapter a day, a few minutes each — with streaks that encourage without nagging. MAKE IT YOURS Double-tap to like. Save verses to your library. Share any verse as text, or as a beautifully typeset vellum card. A QUIET SOUNDTRACK WHILE YOU READ Choose Vespers — a low chapel drone with distant bells — or Stillness, a warm, slow-breathing pad. Both are generated live inside the app, so nothing loops and nothing repeats. They play only while you're actually reading, follow your ringer switch, and mix with anything you already have playing. Off by default, always one tap away. FREE FOREVER, HONESTLY Reading the Bible is free and always will be: both translations, the full feed, search, saving, streaks, the Start With John plan, and a set of deep studies. Selah Plus is a one-time $4.99 purchase — not a subscription — that unlocks every deep study, every reading plan, and verse share cards, and keeps Selah independent: no ads, no tracking, no accounts, ever. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Selah collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no data leaving your device. Your reading life is between you and God. Download Selah — and let the scroll become Scripture. SELAH PLUS — ONE-TIME PURCHASE Selah Plus is a single purchase of $4.99. It is not a subscription, it never renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Buy it once and it stays unlocked, including on your other devices and after reinstalling — just tap Restore Purchase.
