Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Lignes d’Azur Mobile at 4.2 against Avignon 3D's 3.0. Lignes d’Azur Mobile also leads on ratings volume (589 vs 2). Avignon 3D's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 31%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Lignes d’Azur Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lignes d’Azur Mobile has 589 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Lignes d’Azur Mobile's written reviews are positive against 50% of Avignon 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Lignes d’Azur Mobile ships an update every 7 months, Avignon 3D every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
