Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Scale Conversion Calculator at every 5 days against Converter's every 2 months. Scale Conversion Calculator also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). Converter's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (897 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Converter has 897 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Converter's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scale Conversion Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Converter ships an update every 2 months, Scale Conversion Calculator every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
