Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: חדשות ישראל at 84% against ynet's 9%. חדשות ישראל also leads on rating (4.4 vs 1.8). ynet's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months) and chart position (#162 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ynet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and חדשות ישראל sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
חדשות ישראל holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ynet has 225 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of ynet's written reviews are positive against 84% of חדשות ישראל's.
ynet ships an update every 5 weeks, חדשות ישראל every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
